Our Past, Present & Future

The building housing The Falconwood was built in 2002. The current building replaced the original building named The Casino that burned down in 1992. When Montana International took over the management contract in 2019, they wanted to rename the building to honor some of the history of Grand Island and the park’s location. The Falconwood was an original tourist hotel that was located on the grounds the park now covers and it burned down in the late 1800s. A carving of this gorgeous building has been incorporated into the grand sign that stands outside The Falconwood* and a painting of the original Falconwood has been commissioned to be put up over the fireplace in the main event space.
